Originally hailing from rainy Seattle, Mike Romero moved to Texas in 1998 to manage Robbie Seay and practice live sound engineering for his friends Robbie Seay and David Crowder Band throughout their “Can You Hear Us?” Tour. What a ride.
Soon after, he made the bold transition to full-time student ministry, spending nine years developing not only a love for developing students—but also a passion songwriting and leading others in worship. During his time as a student pastor, Mike created a set of songs that grew out of God’s work and his varied experiences in ministry.
The songs were big. They were emotional, life-changing testimonies to the Lord’s faithfulness—and Mike knew that they needed to make it to the world. He called on former students—and talented musicians—to support his vision, and reconnected with his friends of the former David Crowder Band (The Digital Age) and recorded his first two albums at their studio Asterisk Sound in Waco, Texas. Mike’s third album, recorded in Nashville with producer Brent Milligan, helps to concrete his vision of creating gut-level honest music that resonates with those inside and outside the walls of the church and ultimately point all to the Throne of Christ.
